Bacchus Reserve Toppesfield Vineyard 2016, spring fresh example of the now English classic grape, Bacchus. Very well balanced wine, delightful nose of summer meadows, elder flower and grapefruit, subtle, soft and with a lingering finish. This is a great example of what is possible with English wine, charming white wine to suit most palates, without pretension of fussiness, just very English. At only 10.5% abv, this is a perfect lunchtime glass of dry white.

Toppesfield Vineyard is a small boutique vineyard run by Jane and Peter Moore. East Anglia has a particularly dry and sunny climate (for England at least) so is perfect for growing Bacchus and Pinot Noir to make their Rose.
