Details

Barbera d'Alba Superiore Elio Sandri, natural, intense ruby red with hints of purple, black currants, spicy dark chocolate! Sites like these tend to be dedicated to growing Nebbiolo for Barolo, but here Elio Sandri decided to sacrifice this plot of land to grow some excellent Barbera. The wine is high in alcohol, made from low, but very rich yields, giving intense blackcurrant flavours, crunchy acidity, hints of dark chocolate and supple tannins. The wines of Elio Sandri are always authentic and grown with respect for the environment.

Since 1965, Cascina Disa has been the centre of the Elio Sandri estate. They continue the traditional wine-growing methods to achieve more authentic wines. The vines are grown with respect for nature and the traditional styles of Piemontese wines.
