Barolo Roncaglie DOCG 2011 Eraldo Viberti, traditional, natural, artisan Barolo, 100% Nebbiolo. Located in Santa Maria La Morra, Eraldo Vibeti's wines are on the softer, more opulent styles of Barolo which tend to be ready for drinking earlier than some other styles. The Roncaglie is elegant Nebbiolo from a 0.8 Hectare parcel of his vineyard, that is aged for 30 months in large barrels and racked without any other filtration or fining. His wines are made with respect for nature and tradition. Pair with red meats, wild mushroom risotto or hard cheeses (the Courtyard Dairy does a phenomenal Pecorino with truffle which would be a great match).

Eraldo Viberti owns a 5 Hectare winery in Santa Maria La Morra, Piemonte. He has been using his own grapes since 1987, before then he used to work as part of a co-operative winery. He works organically in the vineyard, harvests by hand to select only the best grapes, and personally oversees all the work in the cellar. He makes 4 different cuvées of Nebbiolo, and also makes some Barbera and Dolcetto.
