Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso. Deep and persistent, with richly texture and dark fruit characteristics, with hints of liquorice to add complexity and give an intense, long finish. This wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation before 2 – 3 years of maturing in the oak barrels, then bottling without filtration. The wine is then left to mature in the bottle for at least one year before labelling and release.

This organically maintained farm in Tuscany is run by winemakers Caroline Pobitzer and German born Jan Hendrik Erbach who have a passion for the Tuscan wine tradition and unique characteristics of its soils and grapes. They uphold the highest quality, hand harvesting their grapes, natural fermentation, minimum of sulphites and no filtration. Their vineyards are certified by ICEA (organic) and Demeter (biodynamic). Their 6 hectare estate is nestled in the heart of the Tuscan hills of Montalcino, producing exclusively Sangiovese.
