Camillona Sauvignon Blanc, crispy, fresh, citrus, apples and flint, very tasty Sauvignon, great price. The Camillona Sauvignon Blanc from Araldica Cooperative is a light fresh glass of dry, aromatic wine, ideal for Sauvignon lovers who are bored of New Zealand but like a note of gooseberry in their wine. Good value, fresh easy drinking.

Whilst we try and champion artisan producers, there are a few co-operatives and larger operations which are also doing work worth talking about. Araldica are based in Piemonte and although they cannot claim to make natural wine or to be artisan (they make 20 million bottles are year of many different wines and labels), one has to take their hat off to Claudio Manera and his team and say with all honesty, these wines are pretty good and have a rare authenticity! They offer great value due to the volume and having been to visit Claudio and eaten heartily with his producers inside the winery at Cascinone, I realise that this is a man with the soul of the artisan brought up amongst the vines and with decades of experience with old school Piemontese growers behind him. They manage to produce all these bottles with a little intervention as possible, much of the fruit is still hand harvested and Claudio runs the cellar with an eagle eye for detail. The wines more often than not represent traditional styles, rather than adhering to modern trends.

Clean, crisp and dry. Beautiful and refreshing wine. No oiliness, not sweet, goes with everything. Definitely a go-to favourite.

I very much enjoyed this wine. I was introduced to it a couple of years ago at a wine tasting and realised how much I prefer the grape being grown in cooler conditions.
