Chablis Colette Gros, classic, steely, rounded. A delicious, classic, and conventional Chablis (yes we do sell them sometimes!) but none the less well-made and great drinking. Well balanced with lively acidity, bone dry but with a nice hint of hazelnuts and creaminess around the edge just to round it out. Chablis is one of those wines that just shouts of its terroir - all that limestone, giving it that trademark minerality, and it's lovely crispness makes it a perfect match for plenty of dishes - shellfish, creamy chicken, hard cheese. I'm not sure who poor Fat Colette is, but I'd raise a glass to her!

The Gautheron family has been cultivating vines in Chablis for five generations. The current head of the Domaine Alain Gautheron, is working with his wife and son Cyril in an effort to carry on the family’s traditions. The estate covers 30 hectares of vines under three AOP and the oldest vines are over 65 years old. This estate makes classic Chablis with a clear light gold colour, glinting with emerald green.
