Details

Cotes du Rhone Terre de Mistral Estezargues, hearty, full bodied, fruity, Natural Grenache blend. The Terre de Mistral is Cotes du Rhone with great character and plump fresh fruit. Like its sister wine, the Cuvee des Galets, it is made with no intervention, wild yeast and no fining or filtration. This is pure gutsy Rhone, a bit 'Sauvages' round the edges, imagine a large terra cotta jug of the stuff with some stew of wild boar in a blustery winter night when the mistral is blowing and you get the picture. Very moreish and very good value.

This super little co-op works according to the principles of Terra Vitis using no chemical treatments other than a little sulphur. The grape blends vary, but usually feature Grenache (roughly 50%) with Syrah and Carignan in equal measure. Very much a natural wine with no filtering or fining.
