Details

Coyam Emiliana, biodynamic wine, rich, full, juicy, very new world but great if you love rich, deep coloured red wines. Coyam, one of the flagship wines from Emiliana is rich and round, showing dense dark fruit, mocha and sweet spice, vanilla and plenty of body. This is a wine for those who like to stand a spoon up their red and tackle it with a large steak!

Emiliana is one of the world’s biggest producers of organic and biodynamic wines and the largest in South America. They have a whopping 997 hectares under vine in the valleys of Casablanca, Maipo, Colchagua and Cachapoal of which 923ha are IMO certified organic and the remaining 77 in conversion. Their biodynamic vineyard and winery at Los Robles is a model that attracts visiting viticulturists and winemakers from all over the world. General Manager José Guilisasti and wine making consultant Alvaro Espinoza were key to establishing this project to convert a large commercial winery into a commercially viable organic one. Although huge, Emiliana manage to make wine following many of the principles that a small natural grower would hold dear. The resulting style of wine is international and fruit driven but none the less excellent examples of that style.
