Cru-Elles Engelvin is 100% Biodynamic Grenache farmed on ancient clay limestone soils in the Languedoc. Cru-Elles (so named as it was born shortly after a break up with his then girl friend) is stunningly fresh young Grenache with a balance rarely captured in this grape from the hot regions of France. Every time i drink it, i am astonished, the guy is still only 25 and he is making wine like this! He makes several others now and they are all superb, try them!

Ludovic Engelvin started his life in wine with a shop in his home town and then ditched his cash register for his pick-axe and started t0 farm his own small patch of vines to produce a tiny quantity of natural wine. He learnt his craft studying with great Didier Dageneau in the Loire Valley and returned to his home region to quickly establish himself as one of the brightest young wine making talents in France. Ludovic is a serious and sensitive soul and this is transmitted in his superb expressions of the Grenache grape variety.
