Cuvee des Galets Estezargues, lovely little natural red from the southern Rhone. Les Vignerons d'Estezargues make superb natural wines oozing southern french character and natural freshness. Les Galets Rouge is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan, fermented cool with natural yeast and bottled without filtration. Sourced from organic and biodynamic (not exclusively) vineyards, Les Galets Rouge explodes with plump juicy berry fruit, liquorice and spice. A delicious wine from the fantastic team at Les Vignerons d Estezargues, serve with Soupe au Pistou, Charcuterie and cheese. For us at Buon Vino, this is our go to bottle of house red midweek, low in sulphur but rich in flavour, character and freshness, it shows that naturally made real wine doesn't have to be expensive and it goes with everything, simple piece of grilled fish, serves slightly chilled or even a big steak, dead versatile.
Les Vignerons d'Estezargues is a super little Co-Op located near Avignon. Like other Co-Operative wineries, they receive grapes from members and use them to make bulk wines, usually Grenche, Syrah and Mourvedre. Here they work a little differently though, as since 1995 they have been making natural wines, and not just gimmicky, box-ticking natural wines - proper natural wines. Only indigenous grapes are used here, no filtration, no fining and an absolute minimum of sulphites. Whilst not certified, the growers restrict chemical use on the vineyards. Working in this way allows them to produce wines of incredible character but at probably the best price you're likely to find for a wine like this.

We love this wine chilled, it’s extremely drinkable on its own but goes really well with casual food - pizza, anti pasta. Taste best outside in the sun! Thoroughly recommend
