Evelyn Verdicchio Macerato Accadia 2017, natural wine, light skin maceration, golden hue, bitter notes, fresh fruits and grasses, delicious easy, light orange wine. Angel Accadia is broadening his range and this fantastic little skin contact wine is a welcome addition to the wines he makes at his bedraggled little vineyard in Serra San Quirico. The bitterness of the variety combines with the texture and added richness from the skin contact to make an easy going orange wine that is full of freshness and fruits as well a touch of the funkiness you would expect from this style of wine. Excellent stuff.

Angelo Accadia is a lovely guy, full of warmth and creativity. He is an artist as well as a wine maker and moved to the Marche area from Milan to follow his two passions. After making wine for friends for a few years he was encouraged to make a bit more from his small estate and now produces about 20 000 bottles a year of outstanding authentic Verdicchio. He's also now experimenting with skin contact, and bottling without filtration, with cuvées such as Evelyn making an appearance. From the beginning he has always handled every step of the production in person, from vineyard management to the cellar. If you like Verdicchio, it is a must try wine!
