Gascoigne Blanc Les Trois Fontaines Caves de Plaimont 2018, Sauvignon Blanc, Colombard, Certified Organic, medium bodied, textures wine, ripe fruits and lasting finish. The wine is bursting with rich fruits, very south west France in style, stone fruits and candied citrus on the finish. Delicious versatile white wine

As much as we would like our website to be filled exclusively with exciting natural wines, we do recognise the need for good quality wines that don't break the bank, and this occasionally means a bit of compromise. The Caves Cooperatives de Plaimont have been making wine since the 70s, and now encompass over 800 small family winemakers in the Cotes de Gascogne region of France, which is between Bordeaux and Madiran. Despite being a large operation, they seek to promote local grapes, capture the character of the region, and work in a way that is fair to the growers and respects the land. Many of their growers are organic or in conversion. By working in this way, they are able to produce wines of exceptional value, that are easy to drink but far from being run of the mill. We think that Lesc Blanc and Rouge punch far above their weight.
