Details

Gordon and Macphail Discovery Label Bourbon Cask, Tomatin Highland Whisky. The Gordon and Macphail Tomatin expression is designed to show the effects of ageing in Bourbon casks. This expression has aromas of elderflower, blossom and vanilla, with a creamy palate of honey, banana and a subtle herbaceous quality around the edge. A fantastic mid-range whisky from the top name in malt maturation. The Discovery Range is designed to form an introduction to Gordon & MacPhail’s impressive portfolio, curated to offer a consistent choice of their finest single malt whiskies. Each expression sits within the bold flavour profiles of either ‘Sherry’, ‘Smoky’ or ‘Bourbon’, making these single malts the perfect match for the whisky-lover who enjoys exploration.

For 120 years, Gordon & Macphail have been building their expertise in buying and ageing whiskies from some of the finest distilleries in the world. The company started life as a small grocery business, which moved into whisky specialism. Today, they are world-leaders in malt maturation, sourcing high quality and interesting malts, matching them with the perfect wood for ageing, and also producing their own spirits, before distributing around the world. With their unrivalled connections and expertise, they have an impressive portfolio encompassing a variety of respected labels as well as their own.
