Gratitud Cabernet Franc Cosmic 2019, Organic wine, 85% Cabernet franc, 15% Parellada, soft red fruits, light spicyness, elegance, underlying earthy quality, delicious red. Gratitude comes from the idea of Salvador expressing his gratitude to the land and the people with whom he was born and raised. In planting varieties like Cab Franc, he is opening up to the world and integrating international varieties in to his home terroir, the varieties that best adapt to his land and climate. This Cabernet Franc certainly shows the potential he has for growing international varieties, as does the Grenache Rose. The wine is a very different expression to those found in the Loire or the US, medium bodied, full of fruity characters, yet soft, obviously warm climate but in now way over ripe. A delicious wine for all manner of Spanish meat dishes, grilled fish, cheese, Pasta, etc, a versatile and delicious wine.

Salvador became a wine maker as a young man in an incredible part of Northern Catalonia near the French border. He settled in Agullana and set about realising his dream of producing superb wines from local varieties from a small 9 hectare farm nestled in the hills. Virtually all the wines are single varietal and are made according to natural ad biodynamic principles. The vines are planted on two very different terroir, local varieties are planted in the Alto Empordà, and the international varieties in Baix Penedes. Freshness abounds in the wines, the orange are bursting with aroma bound up in delicious texture, the Cabernet Franc is supremely elegant and moreish and the Rose, partly fermented in Amphorae is simply one of the best in our Portfolio and the bottle disappears far too quickly. In Salvador's words, 'Cosmic winemakers is a philosophy of taking care of vines and making wine, based on what we feel, the feeling of what we are, the passion of what we do, the essence of searching, the patience of finding with the fulfilment of receiving, for having a freer spirit and awareness of a more creative way as winemakers.
