Guarini Syrah Coccinella Aldo Viola, biodynamic wine, 100% Syrah, stainless steel, dark fruit freshness with subtle spice. Aldo Viola is somewhat of a cool dude, he personifies Sicilian style, originality and a touch of the crazy. His wines reflect his personality, he says he wants to make 'power wines made by nature'. He harvests purity and with his personality and great understanding of his terroir and grapes applies his own unique expression. This Syrah is super cool, a silky texture and refreshing sappidity is backed up with pure dark fruit and spice that is quintessentially syrah. A note of black olive on the finish completes this distinctively Sicilian expression of an international grape. Superb wine, bravo Aldo!

The organic domain of Aldo Viola comprises of 16 hectares split between two sites near the city of Alcamo on the northwestern coast of Sicily. Today it is presided over by Aldo, son of Don Ancilino Viola. A rigorous selection process assures that only the highest quality grapes are used for the label of Aldo Viola. Aldo Viola wine is the product of true passion and know-how passed down over four generations. Aldo, son of Don Ancilino, was raised in the rhythm of wine making. Their goal has always been to fuse science with tradition to safeguard their land which is ideally suited to grape growing. Excellence, Nature, and Tradition are the three axis of development pursued by the Viola Family. The small scale of their production(a mere 10000 bottles per year across 4 labels) allows Aldo the luxury of taking charge of the entire process; from the planting of the vines to the labelling of the bottles.

The natural approach, both in the winery & vineyard, results in the restoration of soil fertility. Organic cultivation alongside concepts of Biodynamics enhance the wines and give a strong territorial identity. With a philosophy of working in harmony with the forces of nature, Aldo Viola is creating fine naturals wines of elegant character which will only get better with time. Aldo Viola wines are not filtered in order to better conserve their naturals qualities. Try them and be delighted at the quality and exceptional drinkability.
