They mature it in both bourbon and sherry casks to give is a fresh, floral complexity to balance the soft peat. Bursts of tropical fruit and dried sultanas, warming smoke and waves of honey, malt, butterscotch and rich sweetness combine with peaty smoke and a distinct maritime influence. A lovely whisky for lovers of Islay.

Kilchoman was the first distillery to be built on Islay in over 124 years and is also one of the few remaining independent distilleries. Often referred to as Islay's Farm Distillery, they aim to complete the entire process on site, from growing the barley to ageing and bottling. They remain the only distillery on Islay to do so. Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills, set out to revive the lost art of farm distilling, to produce a true whisky of origin where they could oversee the entire production for quality and consistency.
