The Caves Co-operative de Saint-Mont at Plaimont has established a reputation for unrivalled consistency over the last ten years. It would be far too easy for Buon Vino to list purely, funky, fabulous £20 plus bio wines but we also believe in a catch all easy drinking bottle which is not going to make you think twice when you look at the price. Lesc is such a wine. It is no surprise that it appears at many a fine restaurant as the house bottle, both red and white perform extremely well for a mere £7.50. Or for a party, if you want your wine to taste like wine and not alcoholic Ribena or Elderflower Presse then Lesc is the bottle for you. The basic white, being a blend of Colombard (40%) and Ugni Blanc (60%), is light, extremely fruity and refreshing with pleasant acidity. Plate of organic greens dotted with goats cheese and olive oil, some good bread and a bottle of this is very fine nourishment indeed.
