The wine comes together in natural harmony to create a fruity, slightly yeasty wine which offers easy going and delicious drinking. On its own or with lighter dishes, you taste the terroir in this Biodynamic wine but only a hint of funkiness makes it easy to enjoy for anyone.



The story of Mas des Agrunelles is an incredible one. Frédéric Porro was an aspiring Motorcross rider until an accident left him in a wheelchair. His disability led him to a new passion - wine - after his sister asked him to put together the wine list for he restaurant. From that moment on, he became devoted to the grape. Mas des Agrunelles came about from his collaboration with Stéphanie Ponson – owner of Mas Nicot – in 2005 near Murles in Languedoc. They usually say about it: 'we first met thanks to wine and now wine unites us'. The name of the estate comes from the fact that there are a lot of wild sloe trees around the vineyards and sloe is 'Agrunelles' in old occitan. The 18 hectares of vineyards are on a dozen of plots and the vines are planted on clay and limestone soils. Work is biodynamic in the vineyards with traditional methods of ploughing with horses and no chemicals at all.
