Menetou Salon Morogues Domaine Henry Pelle, organic Sauvignon Blanc, grapefruit, mineral, zippy. The famous white soil of Menetou Salon loves Sauvignon Blanc, and therefore helps to promotes the minerality in the wine, along with that zippy acidity. On the nose there are lively gorse aromas flavours of grapefruit, blackcurrant and a very clear minerality dominate the palate. Delicious and restraine organic Sauvignon.
The Domaine Henry Pellé cellars are nestled at the foot of the sloping hills in the village of Morogues, central Loire. The vines grow in Kimmeridgean clay, limestone, marls made up of myriads of minute fossilised oyster shells called locally 'terre blanche' or white soil. Out of respect for the terroir the estate practices organic viticulture (promoting healthy soil, and a living environment with natural fauna). This also helps to promote the minerality in the wine coming from the unique terroir.
