Details

Menetou Salon Morogues Domaine Henry Pelle, organic Sauvignon Blanc, rapier like acid attack from white soil terroir and which loves the Sauvignon. The Domaine Henry Pellé cellars are nestled at the foot of the sloping hills in the village of Morogues, central Loire. The vines grow in Kimmeridgean clay, limestone, marls made up of myriads of minute fossilised oyster shells called locally 'terre blanche' or white soil. Out of respect for the terroir the estate practices organic viticulture (promoting healthy soil, and a living environment with natural fauna). This also helps to promote the minerality in the wine coming from the unique terroir. Showing lively nostril-arching gorse and broom aromas there is a bristling palatal interplay between grapefruit, blackcurrant and shell-like minerality. Austere and zippingly delicious Sauvignon.
