Four Bottle Easter Case
We have put together a lovely little four bottle selection, to match some typical Easter foods.  The focus is on quality and pairing and we think these are absolute nailed on winners!Good Friday Fish - This wine will pretty much go with any fish dish especially Salmon but also works well with some simple white Asparagus, another traditional and delicious ingredient for Easter cooking.

Cremant de Limoux Les Hautes Terres NV
A recent discovery and what a discovery.  This gorgeous Cremant is Methode Champenoise meaning a base wine is made before the addition of ‘Liqueur de Tirage’, a blend of yeast and sugar to kick the second fermentation in the bottle.  Once finished, the wine rests on the less – dead yeast cells – for 18 months before bottling.  It is stunning sparkling wine, so delicate and drinkable yet with underlying autolytic richness, subtle brioche and cream notes and ripe orchard fruits.  Sauvignon Blanc Cadene Chateau del Ranq 2023
This is superb Sauvignon made in tiny quantity in the Pic St Loup by Chateau del Ranq.  It is surprisingly to find Sauvignon from the Languedoc.  These vines grown on blue marl soils, surrounded by 'Garrigue' and the grapes fermented naturally and then matured in oak barrels.  The 'Fume Blanc' style, is subtle and delicious, with the fruity Sauvignon notes neatly placed behind a veil of creamy texture.

Chianti Classico Montesecondo 2021
We recently tasted Silvio Messana's great 2021 Chianti, what a great wine.  So many Chianti (like Barolo) flatter to deceive and remember traditionally, Chianti is not a massive red wine, is should be medium to full bodied and balanced some dark, sour cherry notes and earthiness but still nice acid balance and freshness.  Montsecondo is just like this and makes it one of our best wines for red meat in the Portfolio.  Cook the lamb rare with some roasted baby carrots and eat with this, delicious.

Banyuls Rimage Domaine de Traginer 2023
We say it every year and it remains the same....there is only one wine for Chocolate and that is Banyuls!  The Rimage 23 made by our good friend Jean Francois is simply gorgeous.  As pure as a wine can be with nothing at all added, save for the spirit used to lightly fortify the wine.  The rich dark sweet fruit character with dark chocolate desserts is an absolute must.  If you prefer white Chocolate, try the white Banyuls instead.
