Aimee Turford has been a certified sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers since 2015 and has a wealth of experience with matching food & wine, not least at her own recent venture- The Moorcock Inn. And, the talented Tom McManus (former sous-chef of The Moorcock) returns with a sensational 5-course menu.

Aimee will introduce you to the fundamental principles behind food and wine matching; providing a set of easy-to-follow rules that will provide the opportunity for better, future pairings of your own. Each dish will provide an insight into the various components for consideration when choosing wine; covering the presence of sweetness and acidity in matching, how to pair with trickier flavours, such as umami, how best to deal with the heat of chilli and how to get the most out of a pairing with fattier foods.
