Nosiola Dolomiti IGT Vinaiolo Giuseppe Fanti, Organic wine, natural wine, Nosiola, 'little nut' has a distinctive nuttiness to the flavour with ripe fruits, taught acidity and a long length. His Nosiola (sometimes called Groppello bianco) perhaps best represents the white wines of the Trentino. This ancient variety supposedly took its name from the word 'nocciola' (hazelnut) in reference to its distinctive nutty aromas. In the hands of a skilled grower and cellar man like Alessandro Fanti it is a superbly flavoured and unique wine in its aromatic and mineral style. The nose is uncompromising with intense wild herbs, nuts and aromatic fruit, the palate has a bitter mineral vein. It is refreshing and yet complex. It is a truly artisan wine, Alessandro makes little more than 5000 bottles!

Alessandro Fanti is one of the 10 wine makers who make up 'I Dolomitici', 'a group united by friendship, solidarity and by a common vision: to value and promote the originality and diversity of Trentino vine growing, while respecting shared production ethics.' A group of farmers basically, who desperately want to hold onto their traditional values and production methods and maintain their land with a healthy, sustainable and natural wine production. The only way for the future.
