Details

Nosiola Dolomiti IGT Vinaiolo Giuseppe Fanti, Organic wine, natural wine, Nosiola, 'little nut' has a distinctive nuttiness to the flavour with ripe fruits, taught acidity and a long length. His Nosiola (sometimes called Groppello bianco) perhaps best represents the white wines of the Trentino. This ancient variety supposedly took its name from the word 'nocciola' (hazelnut) in reference to its distinctive nutty aromas. In the hands of a skilled grower and cellar man like Alessandro Fanti it is a superbly flavoured and unique wine in its aromatic and mineral style. The nose is uncompromising with intense wild herbs, nuts and aromatic fruit, the palate has a bitter mineral vein. It is refreshing and yet complex. It is a truly artisan wine, Alessandro makes little more than 5000 bottles!

Alessandro Fanti, what a guy, the Mr Nice of wine production along with the other guys from the brotherhood of 'Le Mani Ruvide' (rough hands), Rosi and Furli. Rough hands is a reference to the fact that all 3 spend most of their time labouring in their vineyards. They don't have offices, they don't really have staff, they toil away 12 months a year, tying, training, planting, digging, ploughing and doing all the other hard physical jobs need to manage a small natural vineyard. Alessandro's wine are honest and pure and never disappoint combining authentic flavours with high quality and style which means you find them in a humble Trentino Trattoria and on Michelin Star restaurant wine lists around Europe.
