The Bastian family have been winegrowers for five generations and cultivate great vineyards in the Luxembourg Moselle region such as Remich Primerberg and Goldberg, Wellenstein Foulschette and Kurschels. The expression of nature’s diversity is at the heart of everything they do and they champion the variety of Luxembourg’s Moselle terroir.
The aim to keep the soil alive meaning a minimum of inputs and use of oirganic manures. Integrated viticulture which can be called ‘Lutte resonnee’ is an approach which allows them to bring them to be profitable and also a sustainable producer with a lower environmental footprint.
Surrounded by several hectares of vines, rich in flowers and fruit trees, the Bastian estate is a place conducive to biodiversity.
The wines are delicious, full of character and very classic in Style with Rieslings capturing at once, some of the style of Alsace with the freshness and minerality of the German Moselle.
