A family owned vineyard for several generations Château Les Ollieux Romanis is in Montseret (renowned for honey flavoured with thyme, rosemary and lavender), situated in the heart of the Boutenac region, an area dedicated to the culture of the vine since Roman times. The vines are located on a sheltered hillside facing south east. 

The original property didn’t become a winery until the 18th century, and after the land had been split between two families and different businesses for over a century, it was reunited under current owners the Bories family in 2006.

The domaine is quite large but all farmed organically and with a fierce adherence to the traditions of the region.  Ollieux Romanis have acheived a fantastic balance between larger scale production and the protection of their local environment.  They make 70% of their wines using natural methods in the cellar and restore biodiversity to their land with rewilding and tree planting programmes.  

The results are fantastic wines with a sense of place and beautiful freshness as superb prices.
