The Fattoria Di Vaira farm in Molise lies in the commune of Petacciato (Campobasso) not far from the coast. It is a large azienda agricola with 70 employees working together to produce a vast array of different fruits, preserves, cheeses and of course wine. They have been working biodynamically for several years with three aims, to maintain the fertility of the soil, to allow the plant to find its own natural way of resisting pests and disease and to produce products of the highest possible quality.
They work in conjunction with UK based consultant Eric Narioo, founder of Les Caves de Pyrenes. Together they have developed a couple of fantastic entry point biodynamic wines for the UK market.
