Paulo and Joao Soares started the Malhadinha winery in Alentejo back in 1998 with the first vintage in 2003.  Since then, the winery has gone from strength to strength and had since embraced organic, biodynamic, and regenerative practices across all their agricultural and livestock activities. This holistic approach imbues the wines with a true terroir expression and energy, re-enforcing Malhadinha’s status as one of Portugal’s top wine estates. 

The estate is now also a top holiday destination in its own right, boasting a luxury country house hotel with Michelin Green Star restaurant, an award-winning horse stud farm, and some of the region’s finest black pigs and DOP Alentejano cattle.

Our range from Malhadinha, the Monte da Peceguina, meaning ‘wines from the hills’ are delicious, easy, precise and well balanced wines, full of fruits, texture and subtle complexity.  Three wines which are instant crowd pleasers.
