Pierre Gerbais

Having been in the family for 4 generations, this organic estate in the Cote des Bars is a true expression of the Chablis-like soils that are found here. Since 1996 they have been certified AMPELOS for sustainable viitculture. Operations are now overseen by Aurelien Gerbais, the latest in the family to join the venture, and he seeks to carry on the traditions of his family's estate. Growing mainly Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, they also make a Champagne from 100% Pinot Blanc. All the grapes are vinified separately "without artifice or excess" so as to preserve their unique character.
