The name “Stocco” derives from the ancient Italian word for “sword”. The old family crest has long been a symbol of the identity and values of the estate: strength, firmness and respect for the land. Viticulture in Bicinicco, in the Friuli Grave wine producing zone is characterised by its unique gravel and red soil, which together with the respectful and tenacious work of this particular winemaker, produces high quality wines which are representative of this unique area. As well as international varieties, they also use local varieties such as Ribolla Gialla and Refosco. They work with a lutte raisonnée approach, with manual harvest.
