Beyra - Vinhos de Altitude

Based in the Beira Interior region, at 700m altitude, very close to the Spanish border, and south of the Douro, Rui Madeira is a winemaker who is single-handedly reviving a region's reputation. He has returned to, and renovated, the winery where he first started honing his craft in Vermiosa. He is now producing wines with the old vines that grow here, using local grape varieties. The wines gain freshness with the altitude, lending to balanced, easy drinking wines with delicate aromas.
