In Europe, the harvest is in full swing and the aromas of fermenting grapes is everywhere in the fantastic wine regions we know and love, (we are heading to Tuscany this week to experience it first hand!). So we have put together a fantastic Autumn case which offers some of those authentic, characterful foresty aromas and flavours which are perfect for the season. The reds here are full of vitality, medium to full bodied and explode with Autumn fruits. There is a delicious barrel fermented Blanc de Noir from the superb Chateau del Ranq winery in the Pic St Loup area of the Languedoc. This wine always over delivers on flavours and personality, it is unfined and unfiltered, almost no added sulphur and is warming and creamy, perfect for the season. There are two more really characterful white wines. The Khikhvi has a touch of skin maceration and is made by our favourite Georgian producer Zurab Topuridze. The Chevassu Chardonnay from the Jura is a new vintage and is salty, full bodied and a classic Jura Chardonnay. As the evenings draw in and temperatures start to fall over the next few weeks, this case of wine will serve you well.
