Barbera dAlba Superiore Elio Sandri, natural, intense ruby red with hints of purple, black currants, spicy dark chocolate. Sites like these tend to be dedicated to growing Nebbiolo for Barolo. But here Elio Sandri decided to sacrifice this plot of land to grow some excellent Barbera. The wine is quite high in alcohol, made from low yields, giving rich a rich wine with intense blackcurrant flavours. There is crunchy acidity, hints of dark chocolate and supple tannins. The wines of Elio Sandri are always authentic and grown with respect for the environment.
