Beaujolais Chateau Cambon Marie Lapierre, Natural, bramble fruits, juicy, wild yeast ferment Gamay. Chateau Cambon is run by Marie Lapierre wife of the godfather of Gamay, Marcel Lapierre. The wine is made totally naturally, expressing terroir and possessing a cool freshness. This is certainly several steps above one dimensional Beaujolais we often think of – but is a wine of vinosity best served lightly chilled at a picnic, with mellow yet evident tannins, fresh summer fruits and a slight beastiness. Quintessentially French. Wild yeast ferment and fruit from 80 year old vines.

Jeff –
This is more towards the Moulin a Vent end of Beaujolais in my opinion, with somewhat more oak apparent than is the case with Fleurie etc. So less typical but so nice all the same, it will be a wine we shall be buying again!
