Bourgogne Blanc Dureuil-Janthial, Organic white Burgundy, 100% Chardonnay, barrel fermentation, gold, rich and soft. The Bourgogne Blanc from Vincent Dureuil is from an organic parcel of 40 year old vines in the commune of Puligny and is one of the best value village wines we have come across in Burgundy, fulfilling our need for natural methods and also for wines of freshness. This delightful Chardonnay from 40 year old vines is partially fermented and matured in wood, 10% of which is new and then undergoes lees stirring. It has a soft supple palate preceded by elegant stone fruit and vanilla aromas. Bottled without fining or filtration. Delicious white Burgundy, buy some, it goes quickly!

A friend of Paul Jacqueson's, Vincent Dureuil is an amazing young man who has transformed this Domaine and is now producing exquisite red and white wines which are among the most highly regarded (and enjoyed!) by his peers in all Burgundy.

Having taken over his father's vines a few years ago, he now owns some 17 hectares. A large proportion of his vines are in excess of 50 to 75 years old. Vincent is an organic producer and all movements of the wine follow the lunar calendar. Vincent's cellars are very deep and cold and all fermentation, malolactic processes and stabilisation take much longer than ordinarily. This, together with low yielding, old vines contributes to the great richness and complexity which all of his wines demonstrate.
