Brouilly Lapalu Croix des Rameaux, biodynamic, low sulphites, full bodied Beaujolais from 80 year old vines, deep, complex and layered red wine. Brouilly Lapalu comes from beautifully exposed prime parcels of eighty year old vines. They age the wine in three to five year old barriques after a long cuvaison. This stunning Beaujolais gives a wonderfully wild nose of leather, tar and red cherry and palate-punching dark fruits. Stylistically, the wine seems to straddle Burgundy and the Rhône with both finesse and power. A truly delicious wine which would work well with all manner of high quality cuts of meat and fine cheeses.
