Brunello di Montalcino is made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso. Deep and persistent, with richly texture and dark fruit characteristics, with hints of liquorice to add complexity and give an intense, long finish. This wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation before 2 – 3 years of maturing in the oak barrels, then bottling without filtration. The wine is then left to mature in the bottle for at least one year before labelling and release.
