Carparo Macerato Bianco I Parieti 2022 Natural/Organic wine from Giola del Colle in Puglia. Produced using indigenous grape varieties 98% Minutolo and 2% Verdeca from spur pruned vines on calcareous clay based soils. The grapes where hand havested early in the morning at the beginning of October to retain freshness and transported in small crates to keep the grapes in the best possible condition prior to reception at the winery
Grapes are destemmed and crushed and left in contact with the skins for 2 days before the pressing stage. The wine is vinified in stainless steel and then matures on the fine lees for 8 month post fermentation giving a weightier mouthfeel and a toasty almost brioche like note to the wine.
Expect a bright citrus led character with notes of Bergamot, honey, balsamic with a touch of bitterness on the finish and some excellent minerality. Only 1085 bottles where made in this vintage! A cracking Orange wine!
