Chablis Montserre Chateau Beru 2017,Natural Wine from Chablis, no added sulphites in the 2017 vintage, elegant yet a little wild, bursting with aroma, depth and freshness. This single vineyard Chablis comes from the highest point in the hill of Béru, the ‘Serres’ being localised geological layers made from fossilized lime. The terroir has a profound impact on the style of wine and Montserre has a different personality to Cotes aux Pretes, the other single vineyard wine in the Beru cohort. 17 was an amazing vintage, very low yield but great quality so no sulphites were needed and the wine is a triumph showing a wine maker who knows when nature needs no help. Rich yet very fresh, the Chardonnay is unveiled and reveals all its creamy texture and subtle, stone fruits and warmth.
