Chateau Le Puy 2006, Biodynamic Claret, Mainly Merlot, soft and pure, no added sulphur. 2006 was a leaner vintage in Bordeaux but the Le Puy 06 no less enjoyable than more prestigious years. It is evolving nicely with (from memory) some tinder box notes and red fruits, subtle and defined, now at 9 years of age, it will be showing some real maturity and style. These bottles are rare and to be savoured, they are a step back in time to the Claret of the pre-war, when industry had started to manipulate the production. Sincere and delicious.
