Ciello Bianco Catarrato, organic, hazy, unfiltered, fruity. Just 3 out of 5 on the funky scale. This little natural white wine has bags of fresh tropical fruits, lemon pith and southern olive oil texture. There is grapefruit on the palate keeping it fresh but with 12.5% abv, there is plenty of body in the wine to stand up to a salad of Octopus. This wine is unfiltered so can be quite cloudy, but that is normal. A great value Natural white for everyday drinking!

The dynamic Vesco family took over the winery 10 years ago and have since revolutionised the viticultural practices and invested heavily in cutting edge technology for the winery and bottling line.

Their hundred hectares of organic vineyards are located high up in the hills above Alcamo. The wines are all certified organic and planted on south-east facing slopes on sandy soils 150 – 300m above sea level. The climate is clearly suited for producing the best quality grapes. The results of their excellent work are evident in the fragrant crisp Catarratto and fruity, crunchy Nero d'Avola that they produce at outstanding value.  Night harvesting and modern temperature controlled fermentations result in a bright, fresh wines. The wines are unfiltered and have an encouragingly hazy appearance, excellent natural wine at a great price.

A few of us shared this and we were very happy with it. It was a very pleasant bottle.

  3. sophie

fruity (stone fruits), fresh and floral. A nice summer wine!

  4. Jo

I don’t know anything about wine, let alone organic wine, which people said wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea and was an acquired taste, but I thought it was yummy from the first drop! And, despite this being cheap as chips, it’s my favourite so far. In fact, it’s probably time for a small snifter . . .

  5. Dolores

    Excellent wine – no
    Hangover either due to lack
Of sulphides. Interesting taste and more body
    Than most 12.5% wines

Easy to drink and good value for money.

Discovered this wine whilst dining in Alchemilla in Glasgow. Loved it & found it on your website. A truly lovely easy drinking wine. Bought 9 bottles & don’t regret it.

  8. Mary

Great tasting, and a natural wine, love it!

  9. ChrisB

Tasted this at Oxford restaurant as their house white. Washroom a great find: dry, but aromatic and still with some fruit. Great find- and at this price a steal!

  10. Kelly

Best selling…literally! Affordable and refreshing wine. Great value for money.

  11. Adam

Really interesting texture and additional quince/dried apricot aroma, perhaps from the short skin maceration – so like a (very) baby orange wine. I could happily make this my house white.

  12. Catherine

A lovely wine and a great price!

We first tried this camping in Scotland and it was a delicious introduction to natural wines. Very refreshing, interesting and no hangover to boot.

I read about natural wine in a local magazine and was very excited to try it out as I like being healthy and I’m quite sensitive to normal wine, ending up feeling groggy the next day. I loved the taste of this wine – it had a really light, clean and fresh flavour. My partner loved it too. It was very easily drinkable. I’m so pleased that my first experience of natural wine was so positive and we shall definitely be buying it again! Especially as I felt absolutely fine the next day 🙂

  15. Sarjant

Great tasting wine, fresh and light. Decanted and chilled makes this a wine perfect as an aperitif or with a meal would definitely buy again.

This wine is a fantastic introduction to natural wine. Far more interesting to any supermarket whites but at an accessible price. Makes a great “house” wine.

I was given a Buon Vino voucher by my daughter because she knew they had low sulphide wines. I sent for 3 bottles of Ciello Blanco, which was delivered very quickly. The wine is lovely, quite light and delicate. Best of all, I was not plagued by migraine after drinking it. I’ll be ordering more, in a larger quantity, to get lower delivery costs.

This is a lovely, mellow natural wine. As the description explains it is slightly cloudy which makes it feel even more natural. Lovely to drink on its own when well chilled or goes well with light dishes and fish. After suffering with migraines and endometriosis for some time, finding a great supplier of affordable wines with minimal chemical input has been amazing, thank you!

  19. Jenny

This was the first of several low sulphite wines that I ordered to try as part of my migraine prevention diet.
I was really pleasantly surprised how good this white is. It’s dry , fruity and refreshing . Cloudy & a bit of sediment but that won’t put me off! Just what I am looking for to drink either in its own , or with summer food. Great value and no headache!

  20. Catherine Ross

Reordered this wine twice and been happy with the company and delivery. This wine is perfect for the Summer picnics and is a definite crowd pleaser. It’s so smooth and light with no acidic aftertaste. The price is also light!

  21. STACEY

This is a great easy-drinking white. Really fresh. Reminds me a bit of an orange wine, but younger. Goes well with food or on its own, this is my go-to right now for a simple refreshing natural wine.

  22. Glynne

My favourite budget white wine, organic as well, you can’t go wrong with this. Nice flavour, bit different to a budget supermarket wine and much better (bit dearer though!). Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

  23. Patrick and Marian

We love the red Sicilian red so thought we’d try this. Lovely easy drinking and will definitely buy again.

  24. Kayvan

Very smooth white at an excellent price
