Ministre Imperial Cuvee Collection Abbatucci , biodynamic, native varieties like Morescola, Morescono, Aleatico, Carcajolo Nero, Montanaccia, Sciaccarello and Nielluccio! A complex, smoky, intense and sensual red wine. This blend of indigenous varieties from esteemed winemaker Jean-Charles Abbatucci is named after his ancestors who were high profile military men under Napoleon Bonaparte. Foot pressed and then naturally fermented with native yeasts for 12 months in large old barrels. The wine is Brimming with deep dark and red fruits, the mouth has smooth tannins and a lovely smoky minerality. Drinking well now but has amazing ageing potential and after 8-10 years, becomes something really very special. The Magnum is still a baby so we would recommend cellaring for a few years. That said, these wines are always a real pleasure however old they are.
