Confiança Grenache Rosado Cosmic 2019, natural Rose, 100% Grenache, delicate, feminine, beautiful summer Rose from an outstanding wine maker. A simply delicious natural Rose, think Julien Courtois but lighter and younger (Julien’s wines tend to better after a few years in bottle). There is plenty of delicate red fruits as you would expect and plenty of lively acidity then a little earthy undertone and the energy from the Amphorae comes through. Great Rose on its own but also very gastronomic.

Salvador became a wine maker as a young man in an incredible part of Northern Catalonia near the French border.

He settled in Agullana and set about realising his dream of producing superb wines from local varieties from a small 9 hectare farm nestled in the hills. Virtually all the wines are single varietal and are made according to natural ad biodynamic principles. The vines are planted on two very different terroir, local varieties are planted in the Alto Empordà, and the international varieties in Baix Penedes. Freshness abounds in the wines, the orange are bursting with aroma bound up in delicious texture, the Cabernet Franc is supremely elegant and moreish and the Rose, partly fermented in Amphorae is simply one of the best in our Portfolio and the bottle disappears far too quickly.
