Connexio Cosmica Cosmic ORANGE WINE 2021

Connexio Cosmica Cosmic ORANGE WINE, natural wine, organic, beautifully textured skin contact wine, great with some Manchego cheese. At cosmic, they think of this little orange wine as the peasant’s drop, the wine which they have at 10 am after having already sent a few hours in the vines, sounds good to me. In any case, it is in no way a cheap wine (in terms of price or quality) but it does have tons of the superb, flavoursome honesty that rustic down to earth natural wine making and amazing fruit with 8 days on skins gives you.

Salvador became a wine maker as a young man in an incredible part of Northern Catalonia near the French border.

He settled in Agullana and set about realising his dream of producing superb wines from local varieties from a small 9 hectare farm nestled in the hills. Virtually all the wines are single varietal and are made according to natural ad biodynamic principles. The vines are planted on two very different terroir, local varieties are planted in the Alto Empordà, and the international varieties in Baix Penedes. Freshness abounds in the wines, the orange are bursting with aroma bound up in delicious texture, the Cabernet Franc is supremely elegant and moreish and the Rose, partly fermented in Amphorae is simply one of the best in our Portfolio and the bottle disappears far too quickly. In Salvador's words, 'Cosmic winemakers is a philosophy of taking care of vines and making wine, based on what we feel, the feeling of what we are, the passion of what we do, the essence of searching, the patience of finding with the fulfilment of receiving, for having a freer spirit and awareness of a more creative way as winemakers.
