John –
A full bodied wine that goes well with lamb – particularly roast lamb. It comes from Nimes in southern France, which is the home of serge fabric (known as serge de Nimes – shortened to denim) but is much softer than your average pair of jeans. The aromatic Syrah (from old vines) is full of red fruit flavours which go nicely with the meat (and the redcurrant jelly).
