Cotes du Rhone La Griffe Domaine de Villeneuve, Biodynamic wine, zero added sulphur wine, old vine Grenache, wild red wine full of the taste of terroir! La Griffe, Villeneuve, it is not really Cotes du Rhone, it is not Chateauneuf, it is simply La Griffe! 50 year old vines of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre just on the outskirts of the Villeneuve domain. The La Griffe vineyard produces stunning quality fruit and the wine is made entirely and only by nature. Wild yeasts, no fining, filtration or temperature control and no sulphur, beautiful wine that will age for years. I had an older vintage only once after 20 wines beforehand but its intensity allied to stunning lively fruit outshone many of the more expensive wines we were tasting. Unique vineyard, unique natural wine!
