Desti Muscat di Alexandria Cosmic ORANGE WINE, natural wine, organic, beautifully textured and aromatic skin contact wine, superb with Paella or strong Spanish cheeses or maybe a Piperade. 3 weeks on the Muscat skins, a grape that always works well with skin contact. The aromatic profile of Muscat seems to be toned down a little when there is skin contact, the aromas are still superb, grape, spicy and beautiful but less in the face and mixed with some secondary savoury characteristics. The palate on this wine is lovely, soft and round, lovely long finish.

Salvador became a wine maker as a young man in an incredible part of Northern Catalonia near the French border.

He settled in Agullana and set about realising his dream of producing superb wines from local varieties from a small 9 hectare farm nestled in the hills. Virtually all the wines are single varietal and are made according to natural ad biodynamic principles. The vines are planted on two very different terroir, local varieties are planted in the Alto Empordà, and the international varieties in Baix Penedes. Freshness abounds in the wines, the orange are bursting with aroma bound up in delicious texture, the Cabernet Franc is supremely elegant and moreish and the Rose, partly fermented in Amphorae is simply one of the best in our Portfolio and the bottle disappears far too quickly.
