Bill and Susan Sokol Blosser planted their first vines in 1971 in the Dundee Hills as part of a hippie dream.

Back then there was no Oregon wine industry, driven by a passion for quality Pinot Noir, which they knew would thrive in the climate. Now Dundee, in the heart of the Willamette Valley, is the epicentre of Oregon Pinot Noir. Sokol Blosser estate vineyards are farmed organically and the wines made naturally. Local organic straw, organic cow and horse manure, grape pomace from the crush and organic rock phosphate contribute to the composting. The insect population is kept in check by a resident flock of bluebirds! As well as that, they are leaders in sustainable business practice, using renewable energy and biofuel on the estate. The Evolution Range was born out of niche for quality blends. Producing a proprietary blend like Evolution is a combination of art and science. People always joke around, asking whether it was created on purpose or if they just blended leftovers and it happened to work, which is why "Luck VS Intention" features heavily on the label.
