Filey Bay English Whisky, naturally produced near Filey in East Yorkshire. Filey Bay Moscatel Finish Batch 2. Launched in 2020 this was the first finished cask released by the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery . Batch 2 consists of around 5000-6000 bottles. Tasting note : Soft, sweet and fruity with flavours of orange, honey, dried fruits and cocoa. The Filey Bay Moscatel is a field to bottle single malt, initially matured in ex-Bourbon casks. This then goes onto being transferred into Moscatel casks from Spain. These casks previously held Moscatel sherry for up to 10 years. Finishing in Moscatel casks has allowed this whisky to take on more complex layers. Such as wood, spice and layers of fruit such as raisin, orange and honeysuckle on top of our light and fruity bourbon house style.
