Gavi di Gavi Riserva La Raia, biodynamic Gavi, 100% Cortese, low in sulphites, rich and textured, very smooth, layered and yet with the cutting acidity of good Gavi. Made with low yielding old vines of Cortese grapes from the south-east facing vineyard La Madonnina, cultivated organically/biodynamically. The wine ferments naturally in steel and spends a year maturing on the fine lees before bottling with no filtration. Its fine and full taste makes it a perfect accompaniment to fish, hors d’oeuvres and Pecorino cheese. Rich and expressive, Gavi La Raia show the potential of this grape and wine to raise above the mundane and become something more special and profound. It is so easy to drink too.
