Gavi La Raia, biodynamic wine, 100% Cortese, low in sulphites, crisp yet very smooth, layered and yet with the cutting acidity of good Gavi. Made with low yielding old vines of Cortese grapes from the south-east facing vineyard La Madonnina, cultivated organically/biodynamically. The wine ferments naturally in steel and spends 6 moths refining with the lees. Gavi La Raia show the potential of this grape and wine to raise above the mundane and become something more special and profound. The straight Gavi is the crisper of their wines, but doesn’t lack in minerality, texture and natural freshness.
